Tampa Vs Orlando

These two cities are always ones that comes up when someone is moving to Central Florida. living in Orlando and living in Tampa provide different Lifestyles and pros and cons. the real question everyone has including myself when they move here is which city fits me and my family best. And like I always say it depends oh, it depends on what you like doing on the weekends, it depends on if you like to enjoy theme parks, and it depends on what your goals are financially and peace in the home.

Where Is Tampa Florida Located?

Tampa Florida Is located along Florida's Gulf Coast in Central Florida. In a city known for Busch Gardens and the Buccaneers among other teams such as the Tampa Bay Lightning, you enjoy hockey. Tampa is located approximately an hour and a half from Orlando depending on where you're coming from in that area. This is also where one of the best beaches in Florida known as Clearwater Beach is located.

Where Is Orlando Florida Located?

Orlando is located in central florida, smack dab in the middle! It is important to note that Orlando is not near any coast line without driving over an hour wether to the Atlantic or the gulf but is known for Disney World and other theme parks.

Tampa VS Orlando Lifestyle

Tampa and Orlando both have very different feelings when it comes to people and lifestyles. Living in Tampa and be many things and also has been labeled by many sources as the top relocation city in Florida and for good reason.

Tampa to me has a very family lifestyle and is not as touristy as Orlando can be. Also, they have an amazing downtown scene, and more sports teams (unless you like basketball) among other fun nontourist attractions such as top golf.

Tampa has a very calm feel to it and can be a great place for families looking for a beach lifestyle and great communities to raise their families. Now looking at Orlando it does have a large section that floods with tourists year after year, but can provide more acreage on the outskirts of those areas that will give you the space you desire, or maybe you are looking to start that homestead close to Disney!

Orlando also is great for those who want to have great communities but be close to fun family attractions, unlike Tampa Orlando has more family-friendly attractions because of its tourist industry.

Cost of Living In Tampa vs Orlando

One thing than many consider is which of these two cities allow more bang for your buck in terms of budget?

At one time Tampa was a more expensive city. But in recent years they both end up being the same when it comes to housing cost at just over 400,000, And rent being about the same at roughly 1,700 per month on average at the time of writing this article.

What I tell everyone is because both cities are so close when it comes to cost of living don't make that the main reason why you choose one over the other. I wouldn't really look at income in each city as well because that all depends on what industry you're in and what company are wave in each City.

Now in my family's case, we chose to go with Orlando because at the time that we were looking to buy we found what we were looking for to be cheaper in Orlando than in Tampa and we wanted to expand our budget as much as possible.

That is also why if someone wants to get a cheaper cost of living they go in between both cities in Polk County, in cities such as Lakeland.

This is also why if you are looking to make the move and can't decide what area fits you Best Coast to Coast, you reach out to me and the team and we can help you find those exact locations that fit your needs.

Best City For Things To Do, Orlando or Tampa?

Both Tampa and Orlando offer a lot of things to do in terms of lifestyle and activities, but which one fits you best?

Tampa right off the bat is going to have the beach lifestyle and communities that even on the outskirts are going to leave you very close to the beach and that Gulf Coast warm water. it also has its own theme park such as Busch Gardens and great sporting events such as football and hockey.

Tampa also has a great downtown scene I think for older crowds but will leave you surprised at even during peak hours traffic is relatively less than Orlando is probably because of Tourism. but that doesn't mean you can't have traffic jams cuz they are plenty just like any American city. To be fair if you really are obsessed with the beach maybe taking the boat out on the golf or fishing in saltwater then Tampa City for you.

Orlando still has plenty to offer and people who don't like the Disney and craziness 10 to look look away from it but if you have a young family this can be an amazing place to live. Orlando has the obvious such as Disney World, Downtown Disney and some cool side attractions like nature preserves and the like. It also has SeaWorld as well and a lot of cool attractions such as if you had West towards Lakeland you can find a dino park for the kids.

Each city has its own benefits and negatives depending on what your needs are, Orlando is amazing for young families and gives a lot depending on what budget you have but Tampa just gives you that Golf Coast  lifestyle that many look for when moving to Florida.

Which is Best to Live, Orlando or Tampa?
