Whether you're prioritizing affordability, entertainment, or convenience, we've got you covered. So read on to learn more about what makes each of these areas so great! All stats are based on niche.com, head here to see all stats on Orlando suburbs.

5. Dr.Phillips, Florida

Dr.Phillips is a suburb located in southwest Orlando and Is one fo the top rated neighborhoods across many lists because it Is rated one of the safest neighborhoods in Orlando in most years.

Seeing this is number 5 compared to the other ones actually caught me by surprise because I get asked quite often from clients moving to Orlando who see this neighborhood as their number one spot to move to.

I will say the reason I think it is number 5 and not the top of the list isn't because of how great people find it but because of the cost to move into this neighborhood, it is certainly not the cheapest in Orlando and while it isn't a Golden Oaks, for the average person this is going to be one of the more expensive neighborhoods.

The great thing about this neighborhood is you are centrally located and not far from the airport and close to Disney World, oh you can also find gated communities here that really resonate with those that live here. Genuinely this neighborhood is for people who want to be close to Disney World and the airport while being a part of a greater community.

4. Gotha, Florida

So number four on our list is gotha, I was a little surprised that this one ranked higher then dr. Phillips but I suppose it would have to do with the cost of living in this neighborhood.

Gotha is a neighborhood in West Orlando Next to Winter Garden and generally is a safe neighborhood and the schools are ranked quite High compared to the rest of the county. I will say Gothic compared to some of the others in the list feels more rural depending how far from the center you live of course.

the ratings this neighborhood receives compared to the cost move into it I think is fairly generous given how close to amenities you still are compared to some of the others, meaning you still are closer to the airport and Disney World then let's say Lake Mary.

3. Lake Mary, Florida

Lake Mary,  this neighborhood is located in Northern Orlando or Northern Orange County whichever way you decide to describe it. many would argue that Doctor Phillips is ahead of Lake Mary and if you are looking for some kind of prestigious neighborhood maybe you prefer the other but for me and many others like Mary is a great place to set roots.

Now opinions aside Lake Mary holds very well for public schools on test scores and it's still only 30 to 40 minutes with average traffic to Disney World. I will say that for getting to the airport it is a lot harder to get from Lake Mary to the airport so this could be a drawback for those like us that have family who want to come and visit them or maybe you travel a lot for work and pleasure.

Overall you will find home prices to average more affordable than those closer to Disney World While Lake Mary isn't a cheap place to live it is certainly bang-for-the-buck when looking at the stats. also, you have the ability to Branch out away from the center of town, or town as I call it LOL, and get some land.

Generally, people who live here probably aren't huge Disney nuts such as me and probably could enjoy getting away from the craziness that is Disney World chaos.

2. Heathrow, Florida

Oh yes Heathrow, this neighborhood is up in Northern Orlando in Orange County, for some just like Lake Mary this might be too far from Disney World and the airport. this is again 30 to 40 minutes which I think is generous to Disney World and if you want to travel to the beach on a weekend Daytona Beach is closer than Tampa at 48 minutes average.

Heathrow tends to have a higher home price than Lake Mary but then that all depends on where exactly you're living around the area, statistic Wise It's safe and schools are highly ranked so it's a great place for families who don't need to be near the chaos of the tourist industry.

But if you want to be closer to Tampa say if you're a big sports fan or just love their beaches more then this might not be the place for you, but again you always need to travel there for yourself!

1. Oviedo, Florida

Oviedo is another Community here in Orlando that I think is overlooked but is becoming more popular as time goes on.

Many don't consider this neighborhood initially when looking to move to Orlando but niche.com certainly has it ranked high on the list, it's also ranked number 8 in all of communities to live in in Florida which I thought was pretty interesting.

Oviedo definitely has more spaced out communities than I think a lot of others so that probably helps with the crime rating but the schools are some of the best ranking in Orlando when looking at the public schools inside of it.

The downfall I think some will find as well as you are still 40 minutes from Disney World if you are someone who wants to go every weekend but if you are just a part-time Disney World Fan then I think this is a good Community for you to consider.
